Award presented to our Golden Member of the family. This way they know they are the most treasured member.

Ah, age.
by: Lydia

What is it about getting old that we all hate? I recently very quietly celebrated a birthday of a significant number. The only saving grace was the "28" on my birthday cake. I've been turning 28 for years now and every year it gets better! This year it was my kids convincing me that I was 28 instead of me convincing them. :)

I don't know what the answer is. Other than to practice the golden rule and approach the "OLD" subject with graceful tact. (Is there such a thing?)

Anyone else have ideas?

Oldest living etc

My sister almost cussed me out for calling her the oldest grandchild. So I need help on that too.

Comment with tact and love

I get it! You want to show love, kindness and tact to the oldest person of the clan. My best advice: speak from the heart.

You could include a favorite quote or poem or keep it short and simple with just a few words.

On the printable awards that I made for the site, the certificate simply states "certificate presented to... for being the oldest person in attendance..."

Does anyone else have some thoughts or perhaps examples to share?
