Webb Family Reunion

It's back and better than ever - if that's possible!!

A fun weekend is planned for young and young at heart! This year's reunion will be held at the Suwannee River Rendezvous, Mayo, Florida. The fun begins on Friday night with a fish fry beginning at 5:00 PM. Then, there's karaoke at lodge beginning at 7:00 PM.

Everyone is invited to tube the Ichetucknee on Saturday morning - we will be leaving at around 9:00 AM.

Saturday afternoon events include a family scavenger hunt, water games and shirt tye-dying for the kids. The adults can enjoy watching and/or participating in the ever so popular horseshoe tournaments.

Sunday, we will have a devotion at 9:00 with a covered dish lunch at noon.

Several years ago I received an invitation from a woman (last name Webb) to attend a Webb Cousins Family Reunion in Georgia. I called her and we spoke on the phone, but I was not able to attend. I did not know where she got my name as I didn't know I had relatives in Georgia. The only relatives I knew of were in Kentucky, where my father was born. She had put together a family tree and my father's father and mother were on there as well as his brothers. I have lost (during several moves) the pages of the family tree she sent me as well as her name, phone number and all contact information. I asked her where she got my name, and she absolutely did not know. She asked several other people who were running the reunion with her and no one knew where she got my name and address. This has been a mystery all these years and I did not know how to contact her again. By chance I came across this website for the Webb Family Reunion in Georgia and thought I might take a chance and see if I am actually related to anyone there in Georgia. My father's name was John Clonus Webb and he had 3 brothers, Virgil, Cecil and Meredith. His father was Willie Webb, married to Nellie Sexton. Willie's father was Enoch Lee Webb. From what I remember in the family tree she sent me, I am decended from the line of Benjamin Webb. I have two brothers, John and Scott and one sister, Mary Lou. Supposedly we are related in some way to Loretta Lynn and decendants of Daniel Boone's wife Becky. Thank you for you help.

Another change - the fish fry will be FRIDAY night instead of Saturday.

Changes

We've had just a couple of changes to the schedule. Friday night we will have a cookout - bring whatever you want to and cook it on the grill and bring a side item to share. Saturday, we will tube down the Suwannee River and you will need to bring your own tube or float. Saturday afternoon we will have the fish fry (chicken for those who don't eat fish). Fish and chicken will be provided - please bring a side dish to share.
