Everyone always seems to own too many t-shirts.
Our family reunion involves families from Wisc, Minn, Iowa, and Maryland. We had everybody bring a slightly used t-shirt or new one that they were willing to give up in the exchange.
We had a lot of sports related, or theme related shirts, like hunting, fishing, motorcycles. And shirts that advertised businesses from the owner's home state, t-shirts that had something to say, like 'Getting Old is Not for Sissys' or politically themed shirts, even shirts people received for volunteering for different non-profits.
Then the shirts were placed in a large plastic bag, and each person blindly reached in to grab a shirt...and then put it on.
This was funny in and of itself, to see our relatives swimming in one that was way too big or stuffed into one that was way too small. But it is not over yet. Now we can steal a shirt we prefer. We dealt 2 suits of cards out. 26 cards. The Aces went first, then Kings, and on down until everyone had a chance to exchange. It was a hit, especially when the littlest of us stole a Viking shirt from an uncle who really wanted to keep it.
