We have a horseshoe pitching tournament. We give a small trophy to the champion and first runner up. The tournament is open to anyone that wants to play but the women don't really take an interest. Sometimes the women will do a cornhole tournament. We give away gift cards for the oldest attendee, youngest attendee, the one who traveled the farthest to get there and the one that brings the most family with them. We also have an auction and they only rule is all submissions must be homemade. My cousin is a knife maker and he brings a homemade knife, my brother in law is a carpenter and he always makes a bench for your yard or a chair or a planter. My cousin Chuck is famous for his peanut butter fudge so he always donates at least a pound of that and I always try to make a cake or pie to auction off. Anything goes, as long as it is homemade. This raises money for next year's reunion. We always provide chicken, ham, rolls, all dinnerware and a bouncy house for the kids. So the money is well spent and of course we always get gift cards for the next year as well. You only bring a side dish and your drinks!
