Great Place in Texas for your Family Reunion

Spending time with the majority of your family at one place is always relaxing, right? My family and I visited a great place in east TX, located in Crockett, named Crockett Family Resort. Crockett Family Resort is a family owned business who are willing to assist you in your every need, during your stay with them. We have stayed at plenty of different places with terrible accommdations and service. We have now stayed twice and booking our reunion for next year at Crockett Family Resort. I thought I would share my experience with you in hopes of helping anyone else looking for a great place to go. You can visit them at www.crockettresort.com.

unpleasant stay

We had our family reunion here for the second year. The people in the office were rude when we tried to talk to them. We had reserved our cabin from last year. The building we used for the reunion was wonderful, but the rest of the attitude for the rest of the say ruined it. We had 6 cabin rented and 4 camping sites. Our relatives that had camping sites were charged if they had over 2 people in their trailer. When we went to the restaurant they take no credit cards. We got by that but when we got ready to leave the waitresses ask "Aren't you going to leave us a tip?" I think that is the most outrageous thing. I was a waitress for years and never would I have ask a customer for a tip. The air conditioner in our room worked the first night, but would only work for 2-3 minutes and then would go off the second night. The only way you could get it to come back on was to get up and hit the reset button. This was something that you had to keep repeating. The heat in the room was terrible. If we have a family reunion there I will go, but I will not stay there again. I can go to Homewood Suites or other nice hotel for a cheaper rate and have breakfast for free and towels provided. I do not understand why people that are in the business of service have to be hateful and ugly to paying customers.

Crockett Family Resort

This was the second year the family has had the reunion there at Crockett Family Resort. All was okay last year. But this year the son of the owners showed up and threatened my whole family by saying he's got a shotgun with our names on it. He was drunk with beer in hand. He called the Sheriffs posse out and even they said he was "an ass". Aside from all the obscenities and threats, the place was a nightmare. The air conditioner and ceiling fan did not work. The lake smells like sewage. The pool looks urine filled. The family owners are rude, mean, irrational, and scary!! If you're considering going here, consider yourself forewarned! Just take your family's safety into consideration first.
