Share the love Editor’s note{Some of what I've been up to...}You know the popular saying - the early bird gets the worm - but have you ever thought about how true it is? As kids, my brothers and sisters and I used to hunt night crawlers for extra cash. Normally, this process was done after dark with flashlights. But every once in a while we'd luck out. Every once in a while, in the early morning hours after a good rain, the worms would come to us. They'd crawl out of the ground and literally be laying all over the road. Just waiting for us! BUT. You had to get out early. If you waited much past daybreak, the worms had retreated back to the ground and you had to compete with the birds for the few that remained behind. I don't collect worms any more, but the lesson still applies to almost every aspect of life. Even... you guessed it!... family reunion planning. THIS is the time to be planning your 2010 reunion. As a matter of fact, November is National Family Reunion Planning Month. (Who knew?!?) Take advantage of the holiday season when families gather together and communicate more often to make decisions and assignments. The most important elements to establish? You need a DATE and LOCATION. Take an interest survey to gather input and preferences and then push forward. My all-time, super-amazing, best-ever planning tips can be found here. Need more help?
I'm excited to announce the official arrival of my new e-book, "Punt! The family reunion planning guide for when you don't have time to plan." I like to think that it'll solve all of your planning difficulties, :-) especially since it's so reasonably priced at only $7.95! Now, about that price... I have yet to meet anyone involved in a family reunion that's NOT concerned with costs. Not only are we living in tough economic times, but let's face it - we're all on a budget and have to make some pretty tough decisions about what to do with our money. I don't want the purchase of this e-book to be a tough financial decision. Instead, I want to make this information affordable to everyone who's involved in a family reunion and have priced it accordingly. So, at only $7.95, purchasing is an easy choice. After all, your focus should be on family - the most important people in your lives - not on your wallet.
